In the extant transmission profile of the works by Divitis, this mass is one of three which are preserved in their complete form. The Missa Quem dicunt homines, which is essentially a parody mass, uses as its model Richafort’s motet of the same name.
In addition to the VatS 55 transmission, this mass is also found in the Marburg/Lahn Westdeutsche Bibliothek 40091 (this source earlier held in the Berlin Staatsbibliothek) and in three prints: Giunta 1522, Attaingant 1532 and Gardane 1543.
Notable is the similarity in architectural design with the immediately preceding transmission in VatS 55, Moulu’s Missa Stephane gloriose.
